We are acutely aware of the need for document, data and human security in this industry. Furthermore, we have a profound understanding of the importance of our client's data and thus we maintain strict security in a variety of areas. In addition to having mirrored systems that back up every 15 minutes, 24-hours a day in 2 separate buildings, job layout and library backups are performed once a week and kept in a fireproof safe. Complete system backups are performed once a month and kept off-site. DES provides emergency re-creation of data, if necessary.

• All visitors must sign in and wear a badge. They must also be escorted by a staff member at all times
• The exits from the processing rooms are visible to supervisors.
• Computer systems are password protected and levels of access are determined by job position.
• DES has a van that it uses for pickup and delivery in Maryland and surrounding states. This procedure eliminates the need to use outside courier services. All vehicles are unmarked and are equipped with fire extinguishers. All drivers have been trained and educated in proper security precautions and have telephones with them in case of an emergency.
• All personnel are bonded and are required to read and sign an "Employee Confidentiality Agreement" and "Drug-Free Workplace Statement."

To further ensure the customers documents and data are guarded with the greatest security, DES practices a strict Accountability Control System. All job activities, from pickup to delivery, are documented and tracked by the customer's ID. Customer's job controls are verified against the source documents and file layouts and any discrepancies are resolved by contacting the Customer's representative before the job is started.
